Kurt has been the Chairman of American Pacific Mortgage, Big Valley Mortgage's parent company, since its inception and has guided its steady, disciplined growth for over 25 years.

Kurt has successfully run Big Valley Mortgage, a DBA of American Pacific Mortgage with multiple locations across California, for more than 30 years. He has kept an open-door policy that keeps him connected to the needs of originators and clients while staying in tune with the dynamic demands of the mortgage marketplace, thanks to his top-notch leadership team. Kurt played a key role in the establishment of the APMCares Foundation, which reflects his unwavering desire to make a positive impact on the communities they serve.

As a member of the Encompass Advisory Board and a board member with APMCares, Kurt is actively involved in several organizations that strive to make a positive impact on people's lives.

Kurt's experience coaching 30+ youth sports teams while raising three boys has taught him more about leadership than any book he's read. Outside of work, Kurt enjoys mountain biking. His favorite quote is "If you aren't going forward, you are going backward." Kurt is a loyal fan of the San Francisco 49ers and loves to vacation in Hawaii. Kurt credits his dad as the most influential person in his life.
